Carli Lloyd's Emotional Journey to Welcoming Baby Boy Sparks Conversations

Carli Lloyd and her husband, Brian Hollins, have added a new family member with the birth of their second baby.

The United States women’s national soccer team alum, 44, and the golfer, 42, announced on Monday, September 28, that they welcomed a son named Hunter Jax four days prior. "Our hearts have never been fuller. �� Welcome to the world, our sweet baby boy ��," Lloyd wrote via Instagram with photos of her newborn. "It wasn’t the easiest delivery, which makes us even more grateful for the best team of Doctors, nurses and everyone else who took such amazing care of us throughout this pregnancy. @mcobgyns @virtuahealth, Dr. McCrosson, Dr. McCullen, Erica O’Learly, Dr. Zender, Jordan. Thank you for the best care!!" In her social media post, the athlete confirmed everyone is home, snuggling and "adjusting to life as a family of four — especially with our 2-year-old learning her new role as big sister ����."

"These days are a little crazy, a little sleepless, but incredibly special. We’re feeling beyond grateful to have our baby boy here, safe and loved, and to watch our family grow," she continued. "Welcome to the family, little man. We love you more than words can say ��."  Lloyd and Hollins tied the knot in November 2016 after nearly two decades together. The high school sweethearts previously welcomed daughter Harper in October 2024.
