Brittany Mahomes showed off some receipts after her husband, Patrick Mahomes, and the Kansas City Chiefs dominated the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.  Shortly after the Chiefs defeated the Broncos, 31-10, at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, September 14, Brittany, 31, shared a screenshot from the ESPN morning show Get Up, which showed all four panelists — Mike Greenberg, Dominique Foxworth, Tedy Bruschi and Rex Ryan — picking Denver to win the game.  “Oopsies,” Brittany captioned the photo.  The Chiefs’ season-opener marked the triumphant return of Patrick, 30, who played for the first time since tearing his ACL and LCL ligaments in his left knee in December 2025.

Patrick was impressive all evening, finishing 15-for-27 passing for 184 yards, two touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown.  "Going for the end zone, it kind of gave me that confidence that I can go out there and be myself," Mahomes said of his 15-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. "I just wanted to play. I had done so much rehab and so much work to put myself in this position. I just wanted to get out there and play. This is what you do it for.”

He added, "That was definitely the moment, physically, to say all this work has paid off. I didn't feel anything." Patrick conceded he “didn’t play my best,” but credited his teammates for stepping up to the plate, especially running back Kenneth “K9” Walker III, who rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns in his Chiefs debut.
