Why Princess Diana's Brother's New Book Has Prince Harry Talking New

Why Princess Diana's Brother's New Book Has Prince Harry Talking

Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, made sure to give nephews Prince William and Prince Harry a heads-up about his personal new book. “I told them at the same time. … I can say that Harry is completely fine about it,” Spencer, 62, told People in an interview published Monday, September 21. “He said, I hope there’s nothing embarrassing about him in it. I said, ‘There isn’t.’” In his new memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, Spencer explores his tensions with former brother-in-law King Charles, his bond with Princess Diana and her struggles living in the public eye before her death. Spencer believes some family members were concerned about “where I was going up to with the book.” “It pretty much ends in 1997 with Diana’s death, and there’s a tiny postscript by the grave. So I think there was this, ‘Gosh, what’s he written about?’ And I think it’s natural that people so in the public eye are concerned how they will come across in the book,” Spencer shared. “But I could reassure both of them that they’re of course in the book, but really as examples of two little boys who had the most exceptional mother. I’m not in any way compromising their privacy at all.” Spencer also admitted that he was concerned about how William, 44, and Harry, 42, would regard his portrayal of their father. “Yeah, that was a concern,” he shared. “I mean, I don’t want this to sound loaded, but there was an awful lot I could have put in, and I didn’t. If I wanted to write a scandalous book about Prince Charles or King Charles as he is now, it would really be a jaw-dropper, but I’m not here to do that.” Although Swan Song is expected to provide one of the most intimate, loving and honest portraits of Princess Diana, Spencer said he kept many of the details surrounding his book private. In fact, Spencer’s own sisters Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes didn’t know about the project until later on. “When I told them, I think they were very surprised. They hadn’t seen it coming,” he shared. “I explained to them, ‘It’s a pure celebration of our sister.’ They’re still digesting it, actually. I think they’ll wait to see what it’s like when it comes out. But they are very different personalities, I would say. One of them is very, very shy, a private person, a wonderful person, but very, very quiet in a quiet world, but very amusing if you met her. Great fun. And the other one is quite a handful of energy and vibrancy and everything.” Spencer continued, “I think they were hurt that I hadn’t told them, to be honest. … They’re totally innocent parties in this. This is very much a brother’s view.” Swan Song: Diana, My Sister is available starting Tuesday, September 22.

Disney's $59 Ticket Offer Sparks Buzz Amid Universal's Attendance Struggles New

Disney's $59 Ticket Offer Sparks Buzz Amid Universal's Attendance Struggles

Disney is luring visitors with cut-rate tickets and family-focused promotions, helping drive higher attendance at its parks even as Universal and SeaWorld grapple with weaker traffic. The entertainment giant rolled out a limited-time offer of a $59 evening ticket at Disneyland, along with resident specials, kids’ offers, hotel discounts and free-dining promotions — targeted deals designed to draw specific groups of visitors without broadly cutting regular admission prices. At Walt Disney World, Disney has offered a three-day, three-park ticket for $89 a day, or $267 total, excluding its flagship Magic Kingdom.A woman takes a selfie before Cinderella’s Castle at the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World in April 2025. Getty ImagesThe promotional push appears to be paying off.Attendance at Disney’s domestic theme parks climbed 3% from a year earlier in the company’s most recent quarter — its biggest increase since 2023.Even as Disney rolled out cheaper ways into its parks, domestic per capita guest spending rose 4% from a year earlier — showing that higher attendance coincided with stronger spending per visitor. That stands in contrast to Universal and SeaWorld. Attendance at Universal Studios Florida fell 9.3% in 2023 and another 2.6% in 2024, while SeaWorld has also reported softer traffic.Universal parent Comcast’s theme-parks business posted roughly $2.4 billion in revenue in its latest reported quarter, up 2.7%, but adjusted EBITDA fell 5.1% to $609 million as higher domestic operating costs weighed on results.Cinderella meets a young fan in “It’s a Small World” at Disneyland Park in August in Anaheim, Calif. Los Angeles Times via Getty Images“What we started to see in June was softness in Orlando,” Comcast CFO Jason Armstrong said at a recent conference.“We’re continuing to see softness in that market.”Armstrong said the pressure was “sort of equal parts” related to demand and to the wider economy.Despite the near-term softness, Armstrong said Comcast remains confident in the long-term outlook for its theme parks.“So incredibly bullish in the parks over the long term, but you’re not wrong. We do have some near-term headwinds.”SeaWorld parent United Parks & Resorts has also reported weaker traffic, with companywide attendance down 3.4% in the third quarter of 2025 and 2.6% in the fourth quarter.Disney executives have characterized the strategy as targeted promotion rather than across-the-board discounting, using special prices to reach particular groups of customers and make better use of available capacity. At Disneyland in California, the $59 offer provides limited evening access on select dates rather than a full day in the park. That is about 43% below Disneyland’s $104 lowest regular one-day ticket tier, although the two products are not directly comparable because of the evening ticket’s restrictions. At the same time, Disney has pushed prices higher at the other end of the spectrum.Beluga whales are seen at Wild Arctic at SeaWorld on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in San Diego. Getty ImagesDisneyland’s cheapest regular one-day ticket remained $104 after a pricing change last year, while its highest-priced tier climbed to $224. Peak-date prices at Walt Disney World also increased. At Walt Disney World, Disney offered a three-day, three-park ticket for $89 a day to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, excluding Magic Kingdom from the package.Florida residents have been offered a $190 two-day, two-park ticket, while Disney has also offered free dining for children ages 3 to 9 with qualifying resort and dining packages. At Disneyland, the company previously offered $50 one-day tickets for children ages 3 to 9 during a limited travel window. The company is betting that momentum will carry into 2027, when it is scheduled to begin rolling out new attractions tied to franchises including “Monsters, Inc.,” “Indiana Jones” and “Cars” as part of a multibillion-dollar investment in its Experiences business.Disney’s latest discounts come after years of complaints that a trip to the company’s theme parks has become increasingly expensive, particularly for families traveling during holidays and other high-demand periods. At Disneyland, the highest-priced one-day ticket has climbed from $119 in 2016 to $224 today — an 88% increase — while the cheapest ticket has risen much more modestly, from $95 to $104.Over roughly the same period, US consumer prices increased about 39%, according Bureau of Labor Statistics data. The sticker shock extends well beyond the front gate. The entrance portal welcomes guests into Universal Epic Universe, Orlando’s newest theme park, during a preview day in Orlando in May 2025. TNSGuests have increasingly complained about the cumulative cost of hotels, food, parking and paid line-skipping services on top of admission.Disneyland’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass currently starts at $34 per person per day, while standard parking costs $40.Some longtime Disney visitors have said the mounting costs have changed how often they visit — or whether they consider the vacation worth the money at all.One repeat visitor told the Wall Street Journal last year that “the cost value is just out of order and not worth it,” while another parent described the stress of constantly thinking about how much her family was spending during a Disney World trip. The Post has sought comment from United Parks & Resorts.

Tragic Game Turns Fatal: Young Couple's Lives End in Heartbreaking Incident New

Tragic Game Turns Fatal: Young Couple's Lives End in Heartbreaking Incident

A young couple in Arkansas is dead after a man accidentally killed his girlfriend while “playing” with a gun before he died by suicide. The Fairbanks Police Department said in a statement that 911 dispatchers first received a call that a man had accidentally shot his girlfriend inside a home on Wednesday, September 16, around 9:12 p.m. The caller, described as a friend of the man, contacted 911 immediately and stayed on the line as officers reported to the scene. During the phone call, dispatchers reported hearing a disturbance in the background. As police arrived at the home, they found one woman dead and a man who was “critically injured.” The man was then taken to a local hospital for treatment, where he later died. The pair has since been identified as Landon Lowrance and CloeRae McBrayer. An investigation was launched into the matter, and police learned that Lowrance, 22, shot McBrayer, 21, while he was “playing with the gun and pointing it at her.” “The caller, a friend of Lowrance’s, immediately contacted 911. While the line was open with dispatch, the caller attempted to physically intervene when Lowrance obtained another firearm and shot himself,” police said in the statement. “The caller was interviewed by detectives and is not believed to have been involved in the shootings.” Police added that the incident was “a tragic and preventable loss of life.” “The Fairbanks Police Department urges everyone to practice firearm safety at all times,” the department continued. “Firearms should always be handled responsibly and safely, and individuals should never participate in games or activities involving firearms that place anyone at risk of injury or death.” Police then asked that anyone with information regarding the case contact FPD detectives at fpdinvestigations@fairbanks.gov or 907-450-6500. Following the tragedy, McBrayer’s friends and family told KTUU that she was a loving and outgoing “all-American girl.” McBrayer’s mother, Amanda Hooper, said that her daughter “the sunshine of the family.” “She’d love to be the center of attention,” Hooper said of McBrayer. “She’s bubbly, she wants you to talk to everybody. She would sing, she helped everybody.” Hooper added that McBrayer and Lowrance, who was stationed at Fort Wainwright in Alaska, were considering getting engaged. “She went up [to Fairbanks] for the weekend one time, and then she came back and was like, ‘Mama, he’s a really good guy,’” Hooper recalled. “I talked to his mom, she seems like a really good family, and they were talking about getting engaged this weekend and then all this.” Hooper added that she is not “mad” at Lowrance’s family following the tragedy. “It was out of their control — there was nothing that they could do about it,” she said. “I’m hurt because I don’t know exactly what happened. I know my daughter loved Landon, and I know Landon loved Cloe.” If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 or chat at 988lifeline.org.

Why Your Choice Between Two Glasses Reveals More Than You Think New

Why Your Choice Between Two Glasses Reveals More Than You Think

Which Glass Has More Water Your Answer Reveals If You re A Giver Or A Taker drew attention because the account placed an ordinary moment beside a sudden turn that changed how the people involved understood the situation. The details already given establish the central tension, and the next part follows the consequences of that turning point rather than changing the sequence of events. The people at the center of the account had to respond with limited information and very little time. Each decision mattered because it affected what happened next, while earlier choices began to look different in light of the new development. The situation therefore moved forward through practical steps, conversations, and the reactions of those who had not expected the outcome. What made the episode memorable was the contrast between what appeared certain at first and what became clear later. The original description emphasizes that contrast through specific actions and reactions. Keeping those details together preserves the perspective of the account and explains why the final development carried so much weight for everyone involved. As the situation continued, attention shifted from the initial shock to the questions it raised. The people involved had to consider what had been assumed, what had been overlooked, and what could still be done. Those questions gave the story its momentum and connected the opening event with the response that followed. The account ultimately rests on the change created by that response. Earlier events are not erased; they become the reason the later choices matter. The ending follows from the same people, circumstances, and sequence introduced at the beginning, allowing the central headline to remain the clearest description of the story as a whole. The account of Which Glass Has More Water Your Answer Reveals If You re A Giver Or A Taker continued to focus on the immediate consequences, the reactions of those present, and the choices that followed from the central event. Those elements kept the sequence connected to the original description and gave the final outcome its meaning. The account of Which Glass Has More Water Your Answer Reveals If You re A Giver Or A Taker continued to focus on the immediate consequences, the reactions of those present, and the choices that followed from the central event. Gaza Journalist's Shocking Admission About Buried Footage New

Gaza Journalist's Shocking Admission About Buried Footage

A Gaza journalist who has met with Mayor Mamdani and been honored with a Nobel Peace Prize nomination and a spot on the Time100 list admitted that he buried footage of Israeli hostages being beaten by a Palestinian mob on Oct. 7, 2023 in order to protect the perpetrators.Photographer Motaz Azaiza also revealed that all media in Gaza is controlled by Hamas through a single WhatsApp group — and the terror group will target any journalist who publishes criticism.Azaiza — who has become one of the most famous journalists in Gaza — was in the territory on Oct. 7, when Hamas marched the hostages taken from Israel through the streets of Gaza, where all hell broke loose.“People got out, watched, beat them, hit them, and I followed them and filmed,” Azaiza told the Taqarrab podcast. “But I did not publish those videos.”Palestinian photojournalist Motaz Azaiza said he did not publish footage of Gazans beating the Israeli hostages when they were brought in by Hamas. Anadolu via Getty ImagesPalestinians and Hamas militants transport slain hostage Yarden Bibas to Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023. AP“Why? Because I did not want to ruin the lives of the people who were filmed,” the photographer said. “I understood that Israel would use those videos to identify every person who was there and eliminate them.”“I did not want to be responsible, even indirectly, for the deaths of those people in exchange for a few likes and views online,” he added. Aziza also revealed that “every journalist in Gaza” is in a Hamas-run WhatsApp group called “Smart” that coordinates coverage in Gaza. One of the Hamas media directors based at the Rafa Crossing ran it, he said.Aziza went on to say that he was targeted by pro-Hamas media — run through that channel — when he showed a video of a Gaza resident cursing Hamas. He now lives in Qatar.Despite Azaiza withholding the footage of the hostages being beaten as part of his coverage of the war, some of the hostages who were paraded around the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7 eventually spoke out about the ordeal.Itay Regev, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival massacre, said Hamas had driven him and others around the streets of Gaza and displayed them like human “trophies” to the angry crowds. APOutrage also broke out when reports emerged on how the body of slain hostage Shani Louk was desecrated by Hamas, with crowds in Gaza cheering and spitting on her corpse. Along with his admission, Azaiza also criticized Hamas for plunging the Palestinian enclave into a war that has leveled huge portions of the territory — and resulted in the deaths of an estimated 73,000 people. He also slammed Hamas for cracking down on local journalists who depicted the horrors in Gaza, which forced many like Azaiza to flee the enclave in the early months of the war. Motaz Azaiza attends the 2024 TIME100 Gala at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. Getty Images for TIME“You brought us back to the Middle Ages,” he said of Hamas. “You caused women in Gaza to urinate into a plastic bucket. This does not bother you, but what bothers you is if someone suddenly criticizes you?”Azaiza was named among Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2024 for his nearly four month coverage of the war, where he highlighted civilian deaths and the destruction caused by the conflict between Israel and Hamas. He has also met with with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and even attended his election night watch party last November. Despite the acclaim, he said he is haunted by what he saw in the Gaza Strip during the war.“Gaza is the most toxic place in the world. You love it, but at the same time you hate it. You love it, but it hurts you and destroys you,” he said. “The reality there forced things upon me that I never wanted — the price we pay to satisfy leaders who do not count us is simply unimaginable.”

Brittany Mahomes' Passionate Reaction During Chiefs' Nail-Biting Victory Sparks Buzz New

Brittany Mahomes' Passionate Reaction During Chiefs' Nail-Biting Victory Sparks Buzz

Avid sports fans will live and die with every play their team makes, and it appears Brittany Mahomes is no different. The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes watched Kansas City’s thrilling overtime victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 20, from a suite at Arrowhead Stadium with a group that included friend and influencer Dani Austin Ramirez. Brittany, 31, shared a photo via her Instagram Story that Ramirez had posted of the two of them at the game, writing over the image, “Sorry you had to hear me scream and say a lot of bad words for several hours .” The 33-30 win for the Chiefs now moves them to 2-0 on the season as Patrick, 31, threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns. Kansas City’s first two games of the regular season were the first two chances Patrick has had to prove he has fully recovered from the ACL injury he suffered last December. As Patrick has gone through the recovery process, first enduring surgery, then the long rehabilitation road, Brittany has stayed by his side. When Patrick arrived at training camp in July, she celebrated by resharing team footage of him taking the field. “Seeing him back doing what he loves,” Brittany wrote at the time via her Instagram Story. “So thankful .” Brittany opened up to Sports Illustrated in February about being the wife of an NFL player, reminding fans that they only see WAGs on gameday or on social media. “I think being the significant other to an NFL player is an incredibly hard role, and we take on a lot of important stuff behind the scenes that people don’t get to see,” she said. “We also get to enjoy life and do things that we love, too.” Patrick has been similarly supportive of Brittany. The couple married in 2022 and share daughters Sterling, 5, and Golden, 20 months, as well as son Bronze, 3. “I think people don’t even realize how much she does,” Patrick said on a May 2024 episode of the “Impaulsive” podcast. “I mean, taking care of the day-to-day stuff and [making] it where I can focus on football and focus on my craft and everything like that. [She’s] a Hall of Fame mom and a Hall of Fame wife, [which] makes it a lot easier.” He continued, “I mean, when you get to come home and your best friend’s there and you can just hang out, it makes you want to be there all the time, and she pushes me to be great and she’s done a lot of great things herself.”

The Hidden Dangers of Online Weight Loss Pills Unveiled New

The Hidden Dangers of Online Weight Loss Pills Unveiled

Her Daily Routine Seemed Normal—Then Everything ChangedFor millions of people, losing weight can feel like a frustrating and deeply personal struggle. The internet has made it easier than ever to search for solutions, compare products, watch transformation videos, and order supplements without ever stepping inside a pharmacy or speaking to a medical professional. But that convenience can come with risks. One woman’s alarming experience after taking weight-loss pills purchased online has become a cautionary example of what can happen when a product’s promises are easier to find than reliable information about what is actually inside it.According to the account, the woman had been looking for a faster way to manage her weight. Like many consumers, she encountered advertisements for supplements that appeared to offer exactly what she wanted: a simple product that could potentially accelerate weight loss without requiring major changes to her everyday routine. The marketing reportedly emphasized rapid results and the possibility of supporting fat loss. Presented alongside the kinds of dramatic claims commonly associated with the online weight-loss industry, the product appeared attractive enough for her to give it a try.She ordered the pills online and began taking them.Initially, nothing seemed particularly unusual. Her daily routine continued as normal, and there was apparently little reason for her to believe that the decision would lead to a serious health concern. Then symptoms began to appear. What started as physical discomfort reportedly became increasingly difficult to ignore. Eventually, her condition became concerning enough that she sought medical attention. Her experience raises a broader question relevant to anyone considering an online diet supplement: How much do consumers really know about what they are taking?Weight management is rarely simple.Body weight can be influenced by diet, physical activity, sleep, genetics, medications, health conditions, age, environment and numerous other factors. Despite that complexity, online advertisements can reduce the issue to a remarkably simple message: take a pill, suppress your appetite, increase your metabolism or “burn” fat faster. That message can be extremely persuasive. For someone who has already spent months—or even years—trying to lose weight, a product promising noticeable results in a short period may seem like an attractive alternative.Social media can amplify that appeal.Consumers may encounter before-and-after photographs, enthusiastic testimonials, influencer promotions or advertisements suggesting that a particular supplement helped someone transform their body with relatively little effort. The problem is that advertising does not automatically equal scientific evidence.A compelling testimonial may tell consumers what happened—or supposedly happened—to one individual, but it cannot establish whether a product is safe or effective for everyone. It may also provide little information about other lifestyle changes the person made, their health history, or whether the advertised result is representative. For this woman, the promise of a convenient solution reportedly led her to purchase the supplement online. What happened afterward changed the situation dramatically. Not long after beginning the supplement regimen, the woman reportedly started experiencing several troubling physical symptoms.Severe stomach discomfortAny one of these symptoms can have numerous possible causes. Experiencing them after starting a new product does not, by itself, prove that the product was responsible. However, when new or worsening symptoms appear after someone begins taking a medication or supplement, the timing can be important information for healthcare professionals evaluating what might be happening. At first, a person may dismiss relatively mild discomfort. An upset stomach might be blamed on something eaten earlier in the day. Fatigue may be attributed to poor sleep. Dizziness may seem temporary. Nausea might appear manageable. But when several symptoms occur together—or continue getting worse—the situation can become much harder to ignore. That appears to have been the turning point in this woman’s experience. As her symptoms intensified, concern grew. Family members reportedly encouraged her to seek professional medical attention rather than continuing to wait for the problem to disappear on its own. After seeking medical attention, the woman was reportedly evaluated and the products she had been using were reviewed. It is important to distinguish suspicion from proof.Without detailed clinical evidence, laboratory testing and verified information about the exact product involved, it would be inappropriate to claim with certainty that a particular supplement directly caused every symptom she experienced.Nevertheless, the episode highlights a genuine concern surrounding some weight-loss products sold through questionable or poorly verified channels.A label does not always tell the whole story. Some products may contain ingredients capable of producing unwanted effects, particularly when used at high doses, combined with other substances or taken by people with certain medical conditions.Potential concerns with some weight-loss supplements can include stimulant-like ingredients, large quantities of caffeine or other compounds intended to affect appetite, energy or metabolism. The risk becomes more difficult to evaluate when the ingredient list is incomplete, unclear or unreliable.Consumers may assume that a supplement described as “herbal,” “natural” or “plant-based” must automatically be gentle on the body. That assumption can be dangerous.Natural substances are still biologically active substances. They can produce side effects. They can interact with medications. They can affect heart rate, blood pressure, digestion and other physiological processes.“Natural” describes where something may come from. It does not guarantee that the substance is safe for every person, at every dose or in every combination. The internet has transformed the supplement market.A consumer can see an advertisement in the morning and order a product within minutes. The seller may be located in another country, and the product may arrive without the consumer ever speaking to a pharmacist, doctor or dietitian. This creates a gap between accessibility and understanding.A polished website, professional packaging and thousands of positive comments can make a product appear trustworthy. Yet those things alone provide little information about manufacturing standards, ingredient accuracy or the quality of evidence supporting its claims. This is especially important with products promising dramatic results. The more extraordinary the promise, the more carefully the evidence behind it should be examined.Claims suggesting that someone can lose a large amount of weight extremely quickly, “melt” body fat without meaningful lifestyle changes or achieve guaranteed results should be treated cautiously.Human metabolism is complicated, and sustainable weight management usually cannot be reduced to a single ingredient.Weight-loss supplements continue to attract enormous consumer interest because they address a problem many people want to solve. The marketing language surrounding these products frequently focuses on several familiar promises:Rapid weight reductionSome products may contain familiar ingredients and provide transparent information. Others may be far more difficult for an ordinary consumer to evaluate. That is why experts commonly encourage people to look beyond the front of the package.A responsible evaluation should consider the complete ingredient list, the amount of each ingredient, available scientific evidence, the manufacturer’s reputation, possible side effects and potential interactions with medications or other supplements.Even when an individual ingredient has been studied, another question remains: does the evidence actually support the dose and combination contained in the product being sold?A company may highlight research involving one ingredient while selling a formulation containing several substances in different quantities. The existence of scientific research somewhere in the marketing material does not automatically prove that the finished product itself will deliver the promised result. This is one of the most important lessons surrounding dietary supplements.People sometimes divide substances into two categories: pharmaceuticals, which they associate with risks and side effects, and natural supplements, which they assume are safer. The reality is much more complicated.Plants naturally produce powerful chemicals. Caffeine is natural. Many substances used in medicine originated from natural compounds.A substance capable of changing how the body functions may also be capable of producing unwanted effects. The person’s age matters.Existing health conditions matter.Other medications and supplements matter.Even the timing and frequency of use can matter. This is why an ingredient that causes no obvious problem for one person may produce a very different reaction in someone else. For consumers, that means the word “natural” should never replace a proper safety assessment. The challenge is not that every supplement purchased online is automatically dangerous. Many legitimate companies sell products online. The challenge is distinguishing reputable products from questionable ones.Certain warning signs should encourage additional scrutiny.Products deserve particular caution when they make “miracle” claims, promise unusually rapid transformations, fail to provide transparent ingredient information, provide no meaningful information about the manufacturer or rely heavily on aggressive marketing rather than credible evidence.Anonymous or difficult-to-contact sellers can be another warning sign.So can countdown timers, “limited supply” messages and other pressure tactics designed to push consumers toward an immediate purchase before they have time to research the product.Social media adds another complication. An advertisement can spread to thousands or millions of people in a very short time. Influencers and ordinary users can also share personal testimonials that make a supplement appear popular and effective. But popularity is not the same thing as safety.Before-and-after photographs do not establish what caused a person’s weight change. Comments beneath a viral video are not clinical trials. A celebrity or influencer endorsement does not replace medical evidence.Consumers should therefore separate two questions:Does the marketing look convincing? Is there reliable evidence that the product is appropriate and safe for me?Those are not the same question. The woman’s reported experience also illustrates another important principle: new symptoms after starting a supplement deserve attention. Not every headache, upset stomach or period of fatigue represents an emergency. At the same time, continuing to take a new product despite significant or worsening symptoms can potentially expose someone to further risk.A healthcare professional can help evaluate whether the symptoms might be connected to the supplement, another medication, an underlying condition or an unrelated illness.Providing as much information as possible can be useful. That includes the name of the product, its packaging, the ingredient list, how much was taken, how frequently it was taken and when the symptoms began. If someone develops severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, seeking prompt medical care is more appropriate than relying on advice from online comments or attempting to diagnose the problem independently.Another issue that consumers can overlook is the possibility of interactions.A supplement does not enter the body in isolation.Someone may already be taking prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, herbal products or other supplements. Combining multiple substances can change how they affect the body. This is one reason healthcare professionals often ask patients to disclose supplements as well as medications.Consumers may not think of a dietary supplement as something worth mentioning during a medical appointment, especially if it was purchased without a prescription. But that information can be important. The safest approach is to tell a qualified healthcare professional what you are considering taking—particularly if you already use medication or have an existing medical condition.Quick-fix products remain attractive partly because sustainable weight management is not always quick.Realistic progress may happen gradually. It can require adjusting eating habits, becoming more physically active, improving sleep, managing stress and addressing medical or behavioral factors that make weight management difficult. Those changes are less dramatic than a promise printed on an advertisement. But they have one major advantage: they focus on overall health rather than simply chasing the lowest possible number on a scale as quickly as possible.Health professionals generally encourage approaches tailored to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all solution. For one person, that might mean changing portion sizes and becoming more active. For another, it may involve working with a registered dietitian. Someone else may need evaluation for a medical condition affecting weight or may benefit from evidence-based medical treatment supervised by a clinician. There is no single strategy appropriate for everyone.Rather than relying on an unknown product promising an overnight transformation, sustainable weight-management strategies generally emphasize several foundations.Balanced nutrition is one of them.A sustainable eating pattern should provide adequate nutrients while fitting a person’s health needs, lifestyle and goals. Extreme restriction can be difficult to maintain and may create other problems.Regular physical activity can also contribute to overall health and weight management.Exercise is not simply about burning calories. Physical activity can support cardiovascular health, strength, mobility and overall well-being.Adequate sleep is another factor that is easy to overlook.Sleep influences numerous processes throughout the body, and consistently poor sleep can make healthy routines harder to maintain.Stress management also matters.Stress can affect appetite, sleep, motivation and everyday decision-making. Addressing it can therefore be an important part of a broader health strategy. Finally, professional guidance can help people make decisions based on their individual circumstances rather than generic marketing claims. For people who need medical treatment for obesity or related conditions, evidence-based options exist and should be discussed with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. The central point is not that weight loss must always happen without medical help. It is that medical decisions are safest when based on proper evaluation, reliable evidence and professional supervision.A few minutes of research can potentially reveal important warning signs. Before purchasing a product, consumers can ask themselves:Does the company provide clear contact information? Are all ingredients and amounts clearly listed? Are the claims supported by credible scientific evidence?Does the advertisement promise results that seem unrealistically fast or effortless?Does the seller claim that the product works for virtually everyone? Is the product being marketed primarily through testimonials rather than evidence?Could any of the ingredients interact with medications or existing health conditions? And perhaps most importantly: Would I feel comfortable showing this product and its ingredient list to my doctor or pharmacist? If basic information is difficult to find, that uncertainty itself is a reason to be cautious. The woman’s reported experience is compelling because the decision that preceded it was so ordinary. She wanted to lose weight. She encountered a product online. The advertisement promised an easier solution. She ordered it and began taking it.Millions of online purchases begin in essentially the same way. Most do not become dramatic stories. But supplements are different from ordinary consumer goods because they are intentionally swallowed and can affect the body. That raises the stakes.A product’s packaging can look professional while providing little evidence about its safety. A social-media advertisement can appear trustworthy because it resembles content from friends or influencers. Thousands of positive comments can create a sense of reassurance.None of those things substitutes for reliable health information.Consumers therefore have to approach health products differently from ordinary online purchases. The question should not simply be whether the product is popular, inexpensive or convenient. The more important question is whether there is good reason to believe it is safe, appropriately manufactured and suitable for the individual considering it.The woman’s experience serves as a cautionary reminder about the potential risks of buying weight-loss supplements from unverified online sources. It does not mean that every dietary supplement is dangerous, nor does the timing of symptoms alone prove that a particular product caused a medical problem. But it does illustrate why consumers should be skeptical of products promising dramatic results without equally clear information about ingredients, evidence and safety.Weight management can be frustrating, and the desire for faster progress is understandable. That is precisely why promises of effortless or unusually rapid weight loss can be so powerful. Before beginning a new weight-loss supplement, especially one purchased online, consumers should examine the ingredient list, investigate the manufacturer, look critically at the evidence behind its claims and consider discussing the product with a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified healthcare professional. And when unexplained or severe symptoms develop after starting a new product, they should not simply be dismissed because the label says “natural.”There is rarely a single pill that can replace the many factors involved in long-term health.Sometimes the most important decision is not finding the fastest solution. It is knowing when a promise sounds too good to accept without asking more questions.

Patrick Clancy's Journey to Start Anew After Tragic Loss

Patrick Clancy confirmed that he and his new wife, Rachel Danis, are starting a family of their own. Patrick was quizzed about whether he and Danis are planning to have children in a 60 Minutes interview that aired on Sunday, September 20. Danis said “yes” when asked if they were starting a family. Patrick then shared what he’d tell his future children about the three children he shared with former wife Lindsay Clancy. Lindsay stands accused of killing the former couple’s kids — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — though recent legal proceedings against her ended in a mistrial. “I think every parent can agree you have different relationships with your kids, but they’re all your kids. I can’t wait to tell them about their brothers and sister,” Patrick said. Patrick married Danis, a fertility doctor, in New York City in April, just months before his former wife’s high-profile criminal trial. In the emotional 60 Minutes interview, Patrick admitted that he thought he wouldn’t survive after his children were killed in January 2023. “There was a time where I didn't think I would live to see my 35th birthday, and I was completely fine with it,” he said. Patrick also opened up about discovering his children had been strangled after returning from running an errand. Cora and Dawson were dead when he returned home. Callan was airlifted to a children’s hospital and died four days later. “I really thought there was a chance that Callan would live,” he said. “I remember just thinking, 'Just give me one. Just give me one kid, and I would raise him as best I could, and I would give him the best life I possibly could. I'd tell him about his brother and sister.' And I was holding out hope for that." "I got to hold him. I got to lay down next to him. And he died in my arms," Patrick shared. Lindsay’s trial over the deaths of the three children resulted in a mistrial earlier this month. She has not denied killing her children, but her defense lawyers argued that she should not be held criminally responsible due to her struggles with postpartum psychosis. The prosecution has yet to decide if Lindsay will face another trial. For his part, Patrick said he forgives his ex-wife. “I saw headlines that said, you know, 'Killer Mom,' and 'Baby Murderer' [and] 'Monster.' And none of them were accurate,” he said. “I think if people said, 'She did a horrible thing,' I think everyone could agree with that. But I believe that it was her mental illness that caused that.” Patrick said he “did the best I could with what I had at the time. And I live with the outcome. I live with it every day.” If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 or chat at 988lifeline.org.
